Meet The Band

Dock Street Fight Club → a four-piece indie rock band from Martha’s Vineyard, the small island off the coast of Massachusetts more often associated with fishing boats, summer tourists, Jaws and the beach than loud amplifiers and late-night rehearsals. Formed around the longtime songwriting partnership of Atlas Zack and Emmett Athearn, the band has grown into a tight-knit unit driven by melody, energy, and a shared love of great music.

At the core, Dock Street Fight Club lives in the space between generations of sound. Their music pulls from the timeless songwriting and swagger of classic rock while embracing the urgency, texture, and experimentation that define modern indie music. The result is something familiar without feeling nostalgic, its contemporary without chasing trends. DSFC’s sound is built on big guitars, memorable hooks, and stories that feel lived-in.

Atlas Zack and Emmett Athearn have spent years playing together, developing a musical chemistry that serves as the foundation of the band's identity. Their songs often explore themes of growing up, fleeting relationships, and memory, balancing introspective lyricism with driving arrangements. Supporting that foundation is the rhythm section of bassist Jack Holmes and drummer James Murray, whose locked-in performances provide both the muscle and movement that push the songs forward.

Growing up on Martha's Vineyard has shaped the band's perspective as much as their musical influences. Apart from the fun summers filled with touristic wealth, there lies a certain isolation that comes with island life in the ‘offseason’ but also a deep sense of community. Those contrasts find their way into the music; songs that feel expansive yet personal, restless yet reflective. Whether playing packed clubs, college venues, or hometown stages, Dock Street Fight Club brings the same commitment to creating moments that feel immediate and genuine.
